jeremy caruthers

“me before” ep streaming everywhere now.

Four new songs that’ll make you laugh, cry and maybe some other stuff.

who is jeremy?

Jeremy Caruthers began his musical journey as a young child when his mother forced him to fill in on drums at their church one Sunday morning. He didn’t want to do it and he cried afterwards. Soon after, the drummer at their church left and he took over. His drumming abilities continually improved and it eventually led him to play all over the world with various artists.

In middle school, Jeremy would get blank tapes from his church’s supply and use them to record on. Jeremy would record his own music using the church’s sound system and beats that he made on his Sony PlayStation with MTV Music Generator. He would also record songs onto the tapes from the radio using his boom box, create a mixtape of his favorite songs and sell them at school for $2 (or trade for an iced honeybun).

Upon graduating high school, a $500 gift from his family allowed him to purchase enough equipment to begin recording music in his parent’s basement. Jeremy wrote, produced and recorded two hip-hop albums and performed all over the east coast at festivals and events. He sold CDs because streaming wasn’t a thing yet.

In college, he began playing piano and toured as a second keys player for a year with a choir before becoming the band director. It was here he honed his skills as a musician, leader and composer.

Jeremy’s talents go beyond music production. Over the past few years, Jeremy’s branding and marketing skills have led him to work with major artists developing marketing campaigns and video content. He has produced and mixed songs for Clark Beckham and Far-Flung Tin Can, as well as, produced multiple music videos and marketing campaigns for Andy Mineo, Wordsplayed and more.

Jeremy is now a husband and a father of three young children. He is still writing, producing and releasing his own music. He has released multiple singles, an EP entitled All My Friends, and most recently an album, Subpar Songs.
